Flea and Tick Prevention

The right time to start your flea and tick prevention depends alot on the climate where you live. In the north or midwest, it is vet recommended to start a flea and tick prevention program as early as March and continue until the first hard frost. In warmer climates like the south, use flea and tick prevention all year round. Talk with your vet about safe products to use for year-round use.

While there are a number of flea and tick prevention options available today, the vast majority of pet owners choose to protect their pets with monthly spot-on topicals or oral tablets. This is due primarily to convenience and effectiveness. It only takes a minute application to protect your dog or cat from fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes for a full month.
